発電所の概要

小口川第三発電所は、富山県富山市水須にある北陸電力が所有する水力発電所です。昭和6年に運用を開始しました。祐延ダムから取水した水は、最大出力14,500kWの発電を行い、日本で初めて別置ポンプを使用した揚水発電を行いました。

祐延ダム

祐延ダムは、富山県富山市有峰の常願寺川水系小口川に建設されたダムで、1931年（昭和6年）に竣工しました。

堤高45.5m、堤頂長125.5mの重力式コンクリートダムで、発電に利用されています。一般水力に於いて日本最高落差のダムです。
