発電所の概要

刈谷田発電所は、新潟県長岡市栃堀にある新潟県企業局が所有する水力発電所です。
平成2年（1990年）に運用開始しました。
取水は、新潟県所有の刈谷田ダムから行っています。このダムは、水道用水、上水道用水、工業用水の目的を含めた多目的ダムで、平成2年（1990年）に運転を開始しました。
刈谷田ダムは、ダム見学会を開催やダムカードの配布を行っていますが、現在、新型コロナウイルスの感染症対策に関し、感染拡大を防止する観点からダムの見学会の開催とダムカードの配布を当面の間、休止しています。（2021.9.22）
