奥入瀬川

発電所の概要

立石発電所は、1937年7月に東北新光電力により工事着手され、1939年5月に日本発送電株式会社により、7100kWの出力で運転が開始されました。
1951年5月に電気事業再編政令により、東北電力株式会社に変更されました。
立石発電所で使用される水は、近くを流れる奥入瀬川の水を利用したもので、この上流には奥入瀬渓流があり、緑豊かな自然が広がり、散策をすることができます。
また奥入瀬川ではフィッシングツアーなどもあり、釣り道具やえさなども無料でレンタルをしているところもあるので、気軽に釣りを楽しむことができます。
