嘉瀬子内発電所

発電所の概要

加瀬子内発電所は青森県八甲田山から流れる、堤川水系駒込川流域にあり、青い森鉄道の東青森駅からおよそ10キロのところにある水力発電所です。
1940年11月に運転が開始され、1951年5月1日に電気事業再編政令により所有者が東北電力株式会社になりました。
※それまでの所有者は不明です。
2014年に発生した台風19号では、河川流量が増加したことに伴い、発電所の設備被害の発生と拡大を未然に防ぐために一時運転が停止されました。
その後河川の流量の状況を観察しながら、運転が再開されました。
