岩木川発電所

発電所の概要

岩木発電所は、1924年1月に福島酒造会社によって運転が開始されました。
現在は青森県弘前市駅前にある吉井酒造株式会社によって管理されています。
この発電所は、岩木川を流れる水を利用した水力発電所で、落差の圧場所から水を落とすことによる勢いで発電する水路式が採用されています。
岩木発電所の建屋は、大正時代に建てられたレンガ造りの建物が今もそのまま使われています。
