発電所の概要

忠別川発電所は、北海道上川郡東川町東にあり、忠別ダムから約5kmほどの距離に位置する水力発電所です。
大正2年（1913年）2月に運用を開始しました。途中何度か所有者が変更になりましたが、現在は北海道電力が運用・管理しています。
近くを流れる忠別川から取水しており、放水された水は下流を流れて志比内発電所へ導水されています。
